Tom Nelson has spent his career as both a Biologist and a Data Scientist in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. He has worked at several major pharmaceutical companies, namely Bristol-Myers Squibb, Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research, Pfizer and Eli Lilly. Tom has also spent a few years in the startup Biotech realm. Currently he is an independent consultant and writer living in North Conway, New Hampshire. Tom has a Master of Science degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia. He is an author of several papers in peer reviewed scientific journals and is an inventor on 13 patents. Tom loves to use innovative new technologies to solve interesting and important problems.
Tom is a biologist that is cross trained in computing and data science. He has 3 decades of experience doing research in biotech and pharma settings. He is also an adventurer, explorer and likes to write.
